Here you are the worksheets that we will use in class:

The clothes of pilgrims and Wampanoag

We are going to talk about the clothes of the pilgrims and Wampanoag.

The pilgrims women wore a garter because she tie up the stocking with the garter and they wore a petticoat.
After these clothing they wore another petticoat, a shirt-jacket and a coif.
The pilgrims men wore more clothes than the women. The pilgrims men wore breeches and also wore garters and stocking.

The clothes of the wampanoag were much less modest than the pilgrims. Both men and women wore jewelry, clothings were hand-painted. Men wore only a loincloth of soft  deerskin, and went barefoot.

The Very Origins of the United States of America

Have you ever thought about the reason why people speak English in the USA? We will devote some time to think about it and we will do some reaserach on it. To begin with, let's have a look at the videos and slide presentation in this interesting website.

Do You Speak English?

I know you can speak English, can't you? Have a look at this funny video and let me know what you understand. Did you find it funny?

Let's meet our pen pals!

Very soon we'll write our first letter to our pen pals. Would you like to know where they live and study? If you skim this website you'll get a lot of information about them. Make sure you are able to answer these questions and send a comment with the answers:

1. What is the name of the school?
2. What is the name of the town where the school is?
3. In the USA there are 50 states. Which is the state where the school is? (Perhaps you'll have to click here.)
4. Which is the county to which it belongs?
5. Have a look at the location of the state in this map. What is the capital of the state where our penpals live? Which is the ocean their state borders?

I'm waiting for your answers!

Present Simple, Present Continuous and 'Used to'

As you know, in unit 1 we have studied, among other things, Present Simple and Present Continuous. I think it's time to review both tenses. From here you will have access to explanations regarding their forms and uses, together with activities to check your knowledge.

Moreover, if you click here you can do an activity to distinguish one from the other.

Would you like to do something more challenging? Click here and complete the text!

Since we also learn the form and use of used to to talk about repeated actions and events in the past, you can click here, to review it.
